While Ben and I sat,
Working and working,
A strange little man,
Was lurking and lurking,
Behind the curtains,
That hung on the wall,
He was the evilest man,
I feared most of all…
Ben heard a loud sound,
And screamed out,
What’s that!
I knew who it was,
And it wasn’t my cat,
Cat was out shopping,
With mom and with pop,
Buying some gum,

And a tasty pork chop…
The sound,
I knew,
Was made by the thief,
The dastardly,
Masterdly,
Horrible,
Thief!
And times the thief came,
They just weren’t funny,
I was always real scared,
