My parents both sent me,
To my room for a rest,
Said this crazy story,
Was surely my best!
A thief conquered by love,
Is really absurd,
Like a fish with toenails,
Or a featherless bird!
They turned-off my light,
They closed my room’s door,
Said I couldn’t come out,
‘Til ¼ past four!
But when I looked at my clock,
I saw 5, 6, and 7,
All the numbers were there,
Except the 11!
