Mr. R.’s World of Math

 A boy and his sister,
And their cute puppy,

Sat in the park,
Feeling quite lucky…
They’d found a round quarter,

Under a tree,
And wanna’ divide,
The money by 3…
Each of them wanting,
An equal amount,
But 25 by 3?
Not easy to count!
The quotient’s not 8, or a 6, or a 9,
25 ÷ 3
Would take them some time!
They thought, and thought,
The math made them shout,
This is too hard!
But they worked something out,
They went to the store,
And bought some blue gum,

And shared it 3-ways,
Yummy Yum Yum!
