If books came in flavors, Instead of just words, We’d rush to go read,
Like eggs come from birds… = We’d eat books on pizza,
And bake books on cake…
Lick books on ice cream,
And grill books on snake… Lemon,
Strawberry,
Blueberry blue,
Taste limes, At read times,
Red raspberry too! We’d sip books on soda, And write some sweet stuff, To eat when we finished, It wouldn’t be rough…
The dictionary’s entries, Would all be so dandy,
“W, like whipped cream,
And ‘C’ tastes like candy,
If we read on computers,
We’d just eat the screen! Red words taste red, Green words taste green! And maybe the words here, Taste like ‘the bomb!’, Try and find out, But don’t tell your mom!!
