Mr. R.’s World of Math

Chapter 7.1

When the students were done with the problems Norman had given them, they screamed, “There Norman! We’re done. Those were easy! Now give us Hannah and David back!”
“Hannah OR David you must mean. When you found the difference between the two answers, you got 1 didn’t you?? Well, that’s how many of your friends you’re getting back!!!” screamed Norman happily. “So let me think, maybe I will give you David, no, I think I’ll give you Hannah, no, maybe I’ll give you David, no, I think I’ll give you Hannah, no, I think I won’t give you either of them! YES!!!!! That sounds right! You’ll never-ever see either of your friends again!” screamed Norman as he laughed a horrible laugh.
Greg yelled, “You better give us Hannah and David you miniature madman!”
As Greg was yelling, a voice came from the other side of the classroom.
     “Oh Norman?” sang the voice.
“Yes,” answered Norman. “Who is it?”
“Oh Norman, you better give David AND Hannah back, or I’m going to give you a one way ticket to the home of the Evil Wizard of Math again!” It was Mr. R. ‘s voice…
“The Evil Wizard of Math! Not that! I was just kidding. Honest. David and Hannah are not my prisoners. Can’t you take a joke? I promise I was just kidding!” Norman fell to the floor crying, “I beg you, not the Evil Wizard of Math! Anything but the Evil Wizard of maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaath!!
Greg said, “Stop that silly sniffling Norman, we have to get into the elevator so we can escape this crumbling trap!”
Norman crawled to the side and Greg, Serena, and Justin squeezed through the tiny entrance of the tiny elevator. After they were all inside, they could not believe the things that they saw. They saw that David and Hannah were not prisoners at all. As a matter of fact they were swinging in hammocks, wearing sunglasses and sipping on ice cold drinks.
