But when thief landed outside,
After his fall,
He bounced all around,
Like a crazy football…
My numbers flew out,
Like all numbers should…
Right out of thief’s mouth,
And that was real good!
They floated through air,
Like a gassy-type vapor,
And went back to their places,
On my math paper!

I had all my numbers,
The story’s the same,
The thief was all gone,
I went back to my game…

If the thief bounced 9 times,
and I laughed 7 times each time he bounced,
how many times did I laugh?
(ok, that was mean, but I was mad!)
