I had 10 cards for Valentines
I brought them to my class,
I gave 1 card to my friend,
All she did was laugh…

She Said:
My mother is my Valentine,
and my daddy too,
Maybe ask again next year
and it could be you!

II felt a little bad,
But I didn’t hit the skids,
I still had all my other cards,
To give to different kids!

Now how many cards did I have left?

9 cards!
10 -1 card,
9 cards 10 – 1
My friend didn’t want my Valentine’s  card,
I took it kind of hard…

I had 9 cards for Valentines
I looked around my class,
I gave 2 cards to 2 friends,
All they did was laugh…

They Said:

I felt a little bad,

I got home that day,
Feeling kind of sad,
My friends turned down my valentine’s,
left me feeling bad,
My mother looked at me,
She hugged me really tight,
You know I’ll be your Valentines,
Your love is out of sight!
