Coin Value Song: Dollars

LYRICS

This is the story about how my dollar bill
Almost blew away on a very windy day

I had 1 single dollar bill,
I’d saved for something sweet,
I had to keep that dollar bill,
From blowing down the street.
You see it was a windy day,
And dollar liked to fly,
Like a kite, a bat, or bird,
So high up in the sky…

Wind blew real hard,
It blew real strong,
It blew my things around,
So I put 4 quarters on my dollar
To hold it to the ground…

Money, money, money, money

4-quarters make a dollar,
Each one’s 25 cents,
4-quarters make a dollar,
I guess its common sense,
But wind it came, and blew so hard,
And dollar tried to fly,
I gotta’ put more coins on top,
Or dollar says good-bye….

I had 1 single dollar bill,
I’d saved for something sweet,
I had to keep that dollar bill,
From blowing down the street.
You see it was a windy day,
And dollar liked to fly,
Like a kite, a bat, or bird,
So high up in the sky…

I put 10 dimes right on top,
To pile on the pile,
My dollar’s really heavy now,
I sat right down and smiled…

Money, money, money, money

10 dimes, they make a dollar,
Each dime’s worth 10 cents,
I said 10 dimes, they make a dollar,
I guess its common sense,
But wind it came, and blew so hard,
And dollar tried to fly,
I gotta’ put more coins on top,
Or dollar says good-bye….

I had 1 single dollar bill,
I’d saved for something sweet,
I had to keep that dollar bill,
From blowing down the street.
You see it was a windy day,
And dollar liked to fly,
Like a kite, a bat, or bird,
So high up in the sky…

I said stop your flying,
You’re really heavy, stop that flying please,
Then I put 20 nickels right on top,
That should fight the breeze!

Money, money, money, money

20 Nickels make a dollar,
Each one’s worth 5 cents,
20 nickels make a dollar,
I guess it’s commonsense,
But wind it came, and blew so hard,
And dollar tried to fly,
I gotta put more coins on top,
Or dollar says good-bye….

I had 1 single dollar bill,
I’d saved for something sweet,
I had to keep that dollar bill,
From blowing down the street.
You see it was a windy day,
And dollar liked to fly,
Like a kite, a bat, or bird,
So high up in the sky…

I found 100 pennies,
They sure did weigh a lot,
Could the wind still blow my dollar,
I think the answer’s not!

Money, money, money, money

100 pennies make a dollar,
each one’s worth 1 cent,
100-pennies make a dollar,
I guess it’s common sense,
Lots of coins on my dollar,
Everything’s all right,
Now Dollar’s here, right by my side,
Not flying out of sight!
Now Dollar’s here, right by my side,
Not flying out of sight!

Remember 4 quarters is one dollar
Ten dimes is one dollar
Twenty nickels is one dollar
And 100 pennies is one dollar
