A fraction sat sadly and said,
I wanna’ be one-whole instead!
The reason I’m sad,
Is that pieces are bad,
At times I can’t locate my head…
Fractions, they do like their slumbers,
Sleeping like greenish cucumbers,
Dreaming of things,
The pizza man brings,
But mostly of being whole numbers…
One half, one fifth, and one third,
Laughed loudly right after they’d heard,
That whole numbers tried,
To go and divide,
It always seemed pretty absurd!
