Chapter 6.3

Although stepping into a strange elevator was the kind of thing that would usually scare David, he decided to go into the elevator after Hannah. He figured it was better than staying in a vaporizing classroom.

David said, “O.K., O.K. I’ll get into the thingamajigee next, it’s too scary out here,” and he tried to squeeze through the tiny little door with the perimeter of 8 feet. The problem was that David got stuck in the doorway. David was too big to get through the door. As a matter of fact David’s head alone was too big to squeeze through the door…
“Help, I’m stuck!” he screamed as he struggled to move with his head stuck in the door.
Justin, who was quite strong tried to push David through the door.
“Ouch, that hurts!” Don’t push so hard!” yelled David.
“I can’t get you through,” said Justin, “What are we gonna’ do?”
“How should I know?” said Greg.
“I’ve devised a plan,” said Serena, “if we get David really, really cold he will shrivel up and we’ll be able to push him through the doorway. Things do become smaller when their temperatures are lowered.”
“I like that idea,” said Greg,      “Does anyone have any ice?”
“I don’t like that idea!”yelled David, “It’s a bad idea, I don’t want to get cold. Why can’t I just be at home surfing the web?”
“We can get him cold like this,” said Serena as she got some cold water from the sink and poured it all over David’s head.
“Hey stop that!” yelled the now soaked David. Next, Serena turned the fan on to high, and then she turned the air conditioner on to high, and then she opened the door by the fire escape. A cold breeze blew over poor David who shriveled up like a big toe that’s been in the bathtub too long…
Then the students all gave one last push and they popped David into the elevator.
     “Finally!” yelled Justin.
After shriveled-little-David had been forced into the elevator, Norman suddenly jumped up, spun around, and ran through the elevator door and laughed at the other students.
“Thank you for the help suckers, now they’re my prisoners!”
The rest of the students screamed,
“No, you disgusting little man, you can’t do this! Give us Hannah and David back.”
“No, way, they’re my prisoners and you will never see them again!”
