Chapter 11.5

As if by magic the speakers next to their heads came on again and the Evil Wizard’s voice said, “All of you were lucky because you did not say what
12 x 3 was equal to. Your friend, Greg, on the other hand, poor, poor Greg, well he just had to say all twelve of the multiples of three! Now he’s mine! I’ll drag him down to mathematical Hades and keep him here forever!”
“No way,” screamed Justin, “you mathematical madman!”
Justin looked out at Greg and screamed, “We’re gonna’ save you Greg, don’t worry!”
The students saw Greg give the thumbs-up as he was pulled out of sight into the black darkness.
“We have to go get him before something terrible happens to him,” said Serena.
“I guess we have to follow him,” suggested David.
“But we totally don’t even know how to drive this thingamajigee!” said Hannah.
“You may not know, but I do,” said Norman proudly as he strutted up to the control panel, “It’s easier than the five times tables. And we all know the multiples of 5 all end in a 5, 6, or 7.”
“Sorry Norman, but I think they all end in a 3,4 or 5,” said Hannah.
“Sorry guys, but they all end in either a 5 or a 0,” said Serena.
The students need some help. Who is correct?
