“40 Hours!!!!! That’s totally not fair!” cried Hannah, “It’s like I totally work all week for my weekends! They give me a chance to catch up on my beauty rest.”

“I have a football game,” complained Justin, “and my team will lose if I can’t play.”

“If you make me come to school on a Saturday I won’t come on Monday or Tuesday!” yelled Greg who often lost his temper…

David said, “Goody, I like school, and now I get to come for an extra day!”

“I like school too, David, but that doesn’t mean that I want any more of it than I already have”, said Serena, “this is cruel and unusual punishment!”

“Well there’s really no choice in the matter unless of course you want to spend an entire week in
Mrs. Brown’s, class” said Mr. Morris.

The students all looked at each other and screamed, “Not Mrs. Brown! We’ll be here on Saturday!” As a matter of fact, the students said they would come for 8 hours each Saturday for the next 8 Saturdays if it would keep them out of Mrs. Brown’s class.

How many extra hours of school were the students willing to attend just to stay out of Mrs. Brown’s class?
