It had been a bad morning for Greg, and he was in a bad, bad mood.
(This isn’t Greg, but this is what he felt like…)
Greg’s older brother had teased him because he had to go to school on a Saturday, and his mother had been upset because this was the second time he had been sent to Mr. Morris’ office this year. After a long argument she had grounded him for only sixteen weeks.
David repeated what he had said to Greg, “Mr. R is going to vaporize the whole school. I think that he’s gone mad!”
“So let him vaporize it,”said Greg, “just let me sleep.”
“No!” yelled Hannah,”This is my first year at this school and I totally want to come back! I just love this place!”
But it was too late, there was a strange look in Mr. R’s eyes, and he wrote two big numbers on the board. He told them that if the two numbers added up to more than 1,304,567 whooosh goes the school…
