Freddie Frog sat on Lou Lily-pad,

and said, "Pad-boy, why don't you see?"
Why can't you have a yellowish shade,
instead of a lime green one like me?

Why can't you drive a '58 Ford,
and shave with the edge of a shell?
Why can't you bake better than me,
and do something about that lake smell?

Why are you shy?
Why don't you speak?
And why can't you seem to be neat?
Why do you leave things out on the table?
Why don't you come change your sheet?

Why don't you smile when you're feeling sad?

Why don't you love each new day?
Why don't you give me flowers and gifts,
And other things that I just throw away?

Why don't you spend each minute with me?
Why do you love your pet fish?

Why don't you share all your feelings with me?
Why don't you use the big dish?

Why do you get plastic bags at the store?
Why do you eat junky food?

Why do you let people get you upset?
Why can't you control your own mood?

Why can't you do things the way others do?
Why can't you be more like them?
Why can't you comb your hair this way?

Why don't you grow a new stem?

Lou lilypad thought, and he thought about why,
And when his thinking was done.

He pushed Freddy frog, right off his green back,

So that he could enjoy himself and the sun..
