New Hands

A little boy,
Had 2 hands,

But he wanted 4,
Went to sleep,
Asked the genie,
"Can I get two more?"
He woke up tired,
When he looked,
4 hands is what he had,

10 plus 10,
Makes 20 fingers,
He really felt real glad!
But that night,
He went to sleep,
The genie came again,
And gave the boy,
2 more hands,
What would he do then?
He woke up tired,
When he looked,
6 hands is what he had,

10 - 20 - 30 fingers,
He didn't feel real glad...
10 -20- 30 fingers,
Are really too, too much,
But when he fell asleep again,
He fell in genie's clutch...
He gave the boy,
2 more hands,
2, 4, 6, and 8,

10 - 20,
30 - 40,
Fingers weren't great...
40 fingers really are,
Really are too much,
But when he fell asleep again,
He fell in genie's clutch...
He gave the boy,
2 more hands,
2, 4, 6, 8, 10,

10 - 20,
30 - 40,
50 fingers then!
That night the boy,
Didn't sleep,
He didn't want more hands,
He stayed awake,
That whole, whole night,
He had some other plans...
What he did that whole, whole night,

Cutting 50 fingernails,
It was a whole night task!
