IF BOOKS CAME IN FLAVORS...
If books came in flavors,
Instead
of just words,
Kids would rush to go read,
As sure as eggs come from birds...
=
They'd eat books on pizza,

And bake books on cake...

Lick books on ice cream,

And grill books on snakes.
Lemon,

And strawberry,

And blueberry too,

Lick limes,
At read times,
+
And drink Rasberry goo!
They'd sip books on soda,

And then write some sweet stuff,
To eat when they finished,
Life wouldn't be rough...

The dictionary's entries,
Would all be delicious,

The "K" encyclopedia,
Would taste like knishes,

And the "C" like candy,

And "W,"
well,
Like whipped cream,
And if you read on computers,

Then just eat the screen!
So wouldn't it be good,
If the words of this poem,
Tasted like food,
Well try it,
You never know...
yum!!!
